Carson Hocevar finished 17th in Sunday’s Geico 500 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway. Starting 35th, the Portage,
Mich. native drove his Zeigler Automotive Group Camaro toward the back of the pack, charging the field on the last
lap before getting caught in a wreck. With this sixth top-20 finish for the season, the Sunoco Rookie-of-the-Year
contender is now 21st in the NCS championship point standings. Hocevar and the No. 77 Spire Motorsports team will
set their sights on next weekend for the Würth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway.
